Pros

Smart and committed co-workers Opportunity to find a niche/make a difference

Cons

Just downsizing issues - the cuts are numerically based. If you have a manager that doesn't have your back, you can easily get cut in a restructuring when in reality your skills are needed and you have been commended and repeatedly promoted and are meeting and exceeding goals.

Pros

Infor's Distribution products are some of the best in the industry. For the growth products, they have kept their high quality people and continue to enhance the products. For the non-growth products, Infor has developed a very fair program (FLEX) to get customers on a growth product. The various companies they've bought provide bolt on options for customers. Infor isn't perfect, but they are loaded with highly capable people with integrity, great products and customers that they take care of.

Cons

Infor has their work cut out for them in the new account arena. Competitors like Activant promise the world and Infor's high integrity, honesty and value selling doesn't always prevail. Their customer references are deep, and users love them but the competitive landscape is changing and Infor will have to find a way to demonstrate the value that they are capable of consistently delivering. Smaller vendors continue to drop software prices and underestimate services, and Oracle and SAP are leveraging their name brand and trying to fit in Distribution. Infor is still the best option, but will have to find a way to beat the small and large players in this competitive landscape.

Pros

very sales focused, much more so than other ERP companies. If you perform the rewards are great. Loads of customers.

Cons

many competing silos in the organization, especially between sales, PS and Maintenance guys. Back office system is a nightmare and nearly unusable. Many changes in management - not unusual t have 3 different bosses in 1 year. Development for existing products is routinely dumped, can be virtually impossible to find experienced support for certain products.
