Pros

Flexibility to work from home and office Large product set

Cons

Very heavy workloads!! Leadership does not seem to understand the day-to-day activities of their teams. Too many projects deployed by leadership that do not provide any long-term value and make for too much excess work for direct teams. Lack of concern for work/life balance and no real inspiration or motivation.

Pros

Nice office facility in excellent office park. Excellent gym. A line of well rated (by Gartner) products in the data management space. A (finally) stable executive team and strategic plan in place.

Cons

Technology development practices are not state of the art. The technology stack is not cutting edge. Struggling to become a "cloud / subscription" company. No longer a public company and now a PE-owned operation. Highly distributed R&D operations requiring lots of overhead for communication and coordination (which the people at the company are not particularly good at). HR organization has dwindled to bare-bones. No stock options for many employees below executive level. R&D organization in RWC has a serious diversity problem including almost zero women in leadership positions of any sort.

Informatica Response

Your review has three main topics: technology, incentives and diversity. Our technology leadership in enterprise data Cloud solutions is acknowledged by many different analysts and publications, as well as our success in the marketplace. There are segments such as MDM where Informatica is not just the leader, but the driving force behind its adoption. Our data security solution – Secure@Source – won eleven awards at this year’s RSA Conference for another example. As for incentives, Glassdoor just rated Informatica as one of the top 25 employers for compensation. Diversity and inclusion of women and minorities is a publicly stated goal of the Company, and we are committed to it. Instead of looking back to our former model, we are excited to look forward at the opportunities ahead of us. We wish you well in your future career pursuits.

Pros

Pay I suppose, but it's only to keep people due to how awful everything is

Cons

Where to begin? -Broken or no processes at all. No strategies. - No training, hideous communication, and managers who won't support you - Same managers will set you up to fail on projects. If you don't read their minds, they blame you. They'll claim you're not collaborating or communicating properly when it's actually the reverse. - People are rude and unhelpful every day, but you'll get blamed -Double standards - Blurred job roles, and you'll receive criticism for not knowing or doing another role without any idea you were supposed to - HR is well aware of all the problems but can't do anything. - The CEO threw a tantrum on an all-hands meeting about people complaining that he forced them into a hybrid schedule. I remained remote and didn't understand the policy. Of course, I didn't understand most of the policies or actions the company took. - Though a software company, the only thing Informatica actually produces is misery. - They deserve negative stars, as many as a person can count.
