Pros

People are overall nice , knowledgeable Still market leader in many segments Most of the products pushed to cloud and so far got deecnt response You will definitely get good opportunity( given you are in good books of your boss) You will get a chance to work with big clients

Cons

Poor work life balance for consultants. Most of the time you will find yourself in between horrible clients and worst working hours Internal politics definitely exists like any organization in the world Managers in services team mostly care about billing and allocation rather than resources growth ( couldn't write while was there so if anyone reading please work on it). Also they don't take a firm stand in front of tough clients. I do understand their helplessness but that's one good point to sort out.It should be a proactive approach rather than reactive. Seen many times bent down in front of ridiculous demands Current hiring process is demotivating,if you are able to hire managers from service based companies based on 3 hours interview then probably give chances to folks whom you have seen for 3-4 years who performed constantly Why the consultant ratings highly biased on customer ratings , some of those clients won't give good rating to their family members Latest trend was there to promote mediocrity and recognitions were based on volume of work not quality. not sure if that changed There is not much to learn beyond 2-3 years and you will soon get out of touch with high demand skills as you will be surrounded with Infa products all the time unless you are in R&D . If you are defensive and don't want to explore outside tech that's probably ok.Pay is decent so theirs nothing wrong with that 20 percentage of projects only have quality work, mostly it's install upgrade patch. You won't grow too much unless you are in the inner circle of the big bosses
