Pros

Your coworkers The participants you care for

Cons

PTO hours are minimal and no increase in amount of PTO the longer you work. 401k match is almost non existent. Leadership has no insight to waht the front line workers do and just keep adding more and more work to your pile.

Pros

Great concept. There are vulnerable people needing comprehensive, compassionate, quality care.

Cons

Hostile work environment where management is not interested in correcting except for implementation of professional intimidation and humiliation, supporting subordinates abusive behavior, and then firing the whistle blower. Direct Management will tell you one day “you can cover any of my patients (medical director)” followed by days after filing the complaint firing you by telling you “you don’t have the skills to do this job”. Curious…. (Except that medical director with family was afraid they would do the same thing they were doing to me?) Oh, yes they will use an incompetent provider for the weekend call for all their branches (weekend before being fired) and even use this incompetent provider for call the night before being fired too. Curious? Could they have put their clients in danger by having me on call so they wouldn’t have to stay up all night and hit the ground running at 7 am? Or was I truly incompetent or just a whistleblower? Here’s just a few things I was privileged to experience: The nurses going out for drinks and bad mouthing me at public bars, yelling at me in front of patients and families for not answering their texts, throwing lab results at me in my personal cubby, and the management sending a medical directors to professional humiliate and nick pick my work in front of my peers. Last and best experience yet, making the only support I had at the clinic fire you and crush your soul by tell you are no good then removing you like a criminal before you could say goodbye to any acquaintances or friends you had made. Those are only a few things that Innovage did that I know of… (I’m sure there are worse things)…. COMPLETELY HEART BREAKING. THANK YOU FOR COVID 19 TOO. ALMOST DIED.
