      Pros

      Ability to work at home, interesting work assignments, good training programs. I was able to have a 10 hour 4 day work week which was great. Good pay and benefits (until I was laid off)

      Cons

      Everything really depends on the Lead you are assigned to. Some are truly wonderful, and others are terrible and can make your work day miserable. Big company, can be impersonal and isolating -but they are aware of that issue and are attempting to improve in that area. Frequent lay offs, 3 or 4 major layoffs in the 6 years I was there.

      Pros

      RN review consultants work 95-100% of the time from home. The pay is close to what I can make as an RN working in a health care facility doing hands-on nursing.

      Cons

      Intermittent down time between projects means no paycheck, or very small paycheck, during that time. Project schedules change every year, so it is difficult to plan ahead or to know in advance when the busy times vs the down times will be. During down time there is no communication with the consultants re: when the next project will be starting. As a result, reviewers are forced to either sit around and wait for work with no information to go on, or to take a contingent or temporary job with a different employer until our work at Inovalon resumes.

      Lots of training and flexibility in scheduling. You can work from home.

      There are times when work is slow.
