Pros

Most peers are really great people

Cons

Clients have never heard of Insight. Management doesn't know how to manage, communicate, collaborate, help get things done, push the ball forward, think outside the box. The services we are chartered to sell are non-existent or are so rudimentary as to not set us apart. Trying to get things done within the company is nearly impossible. Lots of "No" people in high level positions. This company has no culture.

Pros

Vendors would come and bring food and gifts, dress code was pretty relaxed for business casual

Cons

Only got one day of training (which was fine since I catch on quick), did not give me much to do but then would complain that they were understaffed when they could have just trained me. Pay was not worth the trip. Management would complain about high turnover, and I can see why they can't get people to stay working here.

Pros

Like others before have stated, great place to learn the ropes and begin a technical knowledge base to start a career however, I would advise against any long term career at Insight as there are better opportunities elsewhere. PTO that accrues after tenure is adequate. Coworkers are generally pleasant to be around.

Cons

Employees pay for their own medical, high deductible plan ($3000 out of pocket until insurance pays coverage) and is extra cost to the teammate. Starting pay rate and seasoned rate does not come remotely close to industry standards for RNOC management. For a Fortune 500 company, supplies are scarce and not readily available. Due to lack of competitive pay and promotion, talent retention is almost obsolete.
