Pros

I was in the NOC. Good starting place to launch a career in networking or server administration. They pay for certifications that you pass.

Cons

Pay is very low. PTO is hard to get approved. Poor collaboration between groups. Basically zero room for growth/promotion. They would bring in less experienced people to higher for positions on the engineering team because they could pay them less than more seasoned techs with experience. Managed services is having major changes, several layoffs and management shakeups.

Pros

I've worked here for 3 years now and it's changed so much. We've gone from having very little strategy and some questionable senior team members to a really clear vision and collaborative and approachable leadership. As well as the usual benefits that most companies offer we can purchase holidays, get given time off for birthdays, get paid to volunteer in the community and loads more. They listen to feedback in the surveys we get and they actually change things to make us happy!

Cons

Our new building is nice but the air con is too cold!

Pros

There is a lot of opportunity for sales at Insight. They also have a fun atmosphere Impressive relationships with customer base and impressive ability to extract funding & marketing dollars from partners.

Cons

Incredibly stingy in regards to commission, base salary, and benefits. Extremely disorganized with a lack of basic processes or much of a set career path. Very outdated systems (particularly CRM system) and billing methods requiring sales people to spend insane amounts of time on processes and administrative work instead of prospecting, cross selling and taking a consultative sales approach. Extremely corporate & poltiical at times. Company schedules lots of partner trainings and activities that take away sales reps time to sell (Insight charges partners for these trainings so they are profiting immensely just at the expense of their employes time).
