Pros

The only pros that come with working for Insights Training Group are the co-workers on the center and the students. These two things are the only reason that I show up to work everyday. The people on this center, the ones who stayed when the contractor changed to Insights are some of the best people you'll ever meet. They truly are here for the betterment of the students. The students are all so amazing. Overcoming obstacles that most people would never be able to overcome and fighting to get a good education, career training and ultimately a career.

Cons

Pay - they didn't do their due diligence when researching this center and the area of the country we are in. Many staff collect food stamps in order to be able to feed their families. Literal poverty wages for this area. Below poverty even. Treatment - Insights will tell you that they care about you and your success, but don't fall for it. They don't. They'll talk down to you every chance they get. They also know how to cover their own backsides and won't put anything in writing that you can then refer back to later so you can show them what they said when they do a 180 and say "we never said that". Career progression - there is no where for anyone to go with this company. They have such a hard time keeping staff that they cannot afford to allow anyone to progress. Unless you give notice. Then, they will do anything to keep you so it doesn't negatively impact their vacancy rating (which would mean that DOL will charge them fines). They don't care about the quality of the people they fill the positions with as long as they will accept their garbage salaries. They'll tell you how important and valuable you are then tell you there is no advancement for you because you don't have a degree. Yet, you work in an industry that is training people to be successful without that fancy piece of paper. They'll hire people with degrees who don't have enough brains to blow their darn noses and make those without degrees train them. They hire people as salary just to not have to pay them fairly for the hours they expect them to work. They don't care how many extra hours you work since you're OT exempt, but don't miss an hour or two for a doctors appointment because they'll dock your pay (which is illegal BTW). They require you to be in the office 9 hours per day and automatically deduct an hour for Lunch and don't care if you actually get a lunch or not. Honestly, they prefer that you don't get lunch. Bullying - They will literally bully you to try to get you to perform to the promises that they made to the government that they KNOW darn well they cannot live up to. They will say "Insights doesn't accept excuses", knowing that they set completely unreasonable and unattainable goals. I could go on and on but I think you get the hint.
