Terrible micromanaging. He used to ask about every detail and nitpick. They had 2 offices in their Cambridge campus, if I sat at a different office than him, he was not happy, to the point he would even sneak up behind me to check if I was there! He even accused me on conduct and when I asked for a particular example so that I could work on it, he refused to give me that!!
It was before Xmas that I joined, so after the holidays, he reviewed that I did not do enough work and included the holidays and mandatory company closure period as my "non-work" days and how I did not generate enough data! Reporting this and other issues to the higher leadership team (LT) did absolutely NOTHING. I told the LT guy that I cannot stay here if this goes on. As an LT member, he then advised me to go ahead with a 1:1 with my manager, but then when I went into the room for that 1:1 meeting, I found him (LT guy) and HR there too! They did not even inform me they were going to have a group meeting on this. And they handed me termination letter! I was the one resigning and they came with that like ganging up against me!! So immature and funny! The HR lady didn't even ask me then or before what was my side (not that I needed her to, as by that time I had already discovered them).
I also later found out employee turnover is quite bad and also there were silent firings in the past. Wish I knew this before so I would not have joined this toxic workplace tbw.
Everyone pretends as though it's all perfect and "we are one big happy family" but inside they hate each other and walking on egg shells around each other. Immature behaviour where people would tell on you to your manager on the simplest things, instead of just simply asking you. Terrible company values.
