Pros

The hours are flexible but in most areas you need to work 40 hours a week not including lunch. There are numerous education opportunities available to employees if you are willing to put in the time and effort. The atmosphere tends to be relaxed and the work attire is business casual. ISO is a good place to start if you want to learn about insurance.

Cons

Depending on who is in a management position, some areas tend to have higher turnover than others but that happens in any company. Salaries and bonuses are influenced more by the budget of the department rather than the performance of individual workers which tends to disillusion some people if there are no opportunities for career advancement.
