Pros

Nice office, good work-life balance and still a market leader in the industry. You can make great (external) connections with clients. And the name IAS still gets you in the door for meetings. They are one of the few ad tech companies not reliant on the cookie. Have released an interesting keyword product recently.

Cons

Management encourages an environment of hostility, back-biting, politics and fear. People are petrified to express their opinions to the CEO. The environment of open ideas and innovation that used to exist at the company is now dead. The management team says publicly that "feedback is a gift" but then doesn't listen to either employees or customers. As a result, customers are routinely disappointed with the technology and service. And are even more frustrated when their feedback isn't incorporated to make products better. Sales are stagnant and getting worse since revenue is tied to overall economy/ad market. Most people in client facing roles are miserable and it's been a revolving door of people leaving the company. There have also been recent layoffs.

Pros

Perks are nice - free lunch once a week, unlimited PTO, happy hours, snacks Most of the people are really great and encouraging Opportunity to learn is there, if you can fight for it

Cons

The toxicity of certain employees absolutely blows my mind. Those in management roles are allowed to treat others which such disrespect, it was disgusting. The changes in leadership (or lack thereof) caused much confusion and created a hostile work environment for many. When they say you don't leave jobs, you leave people, that is ABSOLUTELY true of this company. It's an absolute shame because they could be doing so much better if they removed the toxicity out of their culture. They really need to retrain their managers/leaders.

Viewability is all the rage now

Pros

Ad verification and viewability aren't going anywhere - if you can manage to get equity, do that. Food/perks are almost in line with the rest of the industry, almost. Some teams have really smart and talented participants - namely product and engineering. If you're in sales - you'll be okay as long as you get a good territory.

Cons

Everything else. Management is not the brightest. The company is doing well because of the product itself not the direction of the product. Once this space becomes more saturated I'd expect IAS to lose tons of clients and talent. Who's decision was it to move the office to west west village? Geez.
