Pros

Great institution for development finance in Latin America.

Cons

Very bureaucratic with a lot of internal politics and their contractual jobs, called "consultants" have cool-off periods of 3-6 months between contracts so you do not accumulate years for retirement. This positions prevent brilliant people to advance their careers and often opt to go back to their countries or private sector.
