Pros

Salary, Clearance, and that's about it

Cons

Imagine a dumpster Fire, and no matter how much water you put on it, the fire keeps growing. Thats Inter-Con in a nutshell Let's start with Training. You literally have to pay to train. You spend two weeks in the Middle Of Nowhere, WV . Your options are either commute back in forth or shell out a couple hunder bucks for a hotel... and they don't reimburse you for it unless you live outside the National Capitol Region (NCR) I'm convinced that the management, Scheduling, and operations team is just 3 monkeys banging on pots and pans that collectively have two braincells, that never work at the same time. This place is an absolute joke of an organization. The company as a whole does not care about the wellbeing of their officers. If you were to croak at work they would probably show up to your funeral to write you up for not calling out properly. They only care about their bottom dollar because they consistenently underbid the contract everytime it comes up for re-bidding. They hire you for "Full Time" but your first 9 months are considered probationary, and you're not gurranteed 40 hours. Then they blow up your phone asking you to cover shifts that they need covered. However, good luck trying to pick up shifts because the process is a circus ran by monkeys. You have to call a phone number, leave a voicemail, capture a unicorn, and then bring back the holy grail and then MAYBE they'll call you back with the shift you wanted to pick up. If you want to overtime FORGET ABOUT IT. You only get overtime when it benefits them. They consistently have people that call off, and their solution is to hold you over until they find someone to come relieve you. Oh and if your refuse the holdover they will write you up and suspend you for up to 5 days. But then they'll still call you to pick up shifts.. ( See Previous paragraph for picking up shifts) They paint this pretty picture of bonuses and opportunity but God Forbid you tie your shoes wrong they will write you up and there goes your bonus. The ONLY upside to this job is they sponsor a TS clearance and the pay is solid. Starting out at about $87K there is definitely money to be made. BLUF: If this review didn't deter you and you still wanna apply here Follow these simple instructions 1. Get your money 2. Get Your Clearnance 3. LEAVE

Pros

On boarding was smooth except my pay rate was incorrect for the first 2 paychecks. This caused a serious issue with keeping payments on time. FYI, the same managers that y'all inherited from Allied Universal, made the same serious pay rate mistake for 3 paychecks. Anyway, that issue is now resolved. Moving forward I again thank you for your kind acknowledgement on my 3 month anniversary. Kind regards, Jeffrey Breier Armed Officer CHM post in Point Loma

Cons

Cons are the transition from Allied Universal to Inter-Con Security was the lack of professional oversight. Y'all took a nonchalant approach to the transition. Already a big struggle to fill all the positions. This is no different from the Allied days. Perhaps take a look at the local management. Their background and credentials are not Security related. Secretary's do not make competent Security Account Managers. I have 35+ years combined in law enforcement and corporate security management. I recognize qualifications when I see it. I don't see it with local management in San Diego. I will continue to maintain good security services and attempt to help bring up the standards of best practices on site. I can't, however, help make improvements at the local office of management. That's for corporate Inter-Con Security to resolve. Thank you for this forum to allow officers to use as a way to inform HR of the situation. Much appreciated. Kind regards, Jeffrey Breier CMH post in Point Loma
