Pros

Lifetime employment. They won't fire you for average performance. It's a stable company with a monopoly grip on the market in Utah. Pretty good benefits.

Cons

Doesn't pay the average - they say they do. Not much mobility upwards in some departments as people generally work there till they retire. Not an up or out mentality.

Pros

As an employee we receive constant training and assistance with advancement. We are always encouraged to strive to do better, to be better. We work hard with regards to patient care and doing what we can to better patient care. The company strives to make patient care #1.

Cons

In my department in particular, I feel that there are blocks in communication. We are not updated as to what is happening, and left a lot of the time wondering what is happening and what will happen. I do not like being left out of the loop when it comes to my job.

Somewhat flexible schedule, a few decent perks.

Cons

Poor management, not open to new ideas or opinions that differ from their own. Favoritism runs rampant if you align with the chosen few you will get far regardless if you are any good at your job or not. Staff is overworked, unsupported, rarely praised,and are paid far below industry standard. Poor job performance is tolerated, good job performance is ignored.
