      Pros

      My manager is flexible about my work schedule

      Cons

      Removed engineering management positions, and will move you anywhere the company needs man power, even if you don't have any experience or appropriate education. This is not a good place to work for new college grads, there is little training.

      Great job, bad, bad upper management

      Pros

      Great work environment, good benefits, up to date machinery with any support you needed. Local management was very supportive.

      Cons

      Bad decisions by a former CEO forced a lot of lay offs and hardship for employees. Closed two plants, one in Texas and one in Alabama. When the announcement was made that my plant would be closing, Navistar offered no help at all. I was able to find another job before the last day and lost out on my severance. I was told that I was the one leaving even after they told 280 of us we wouldn't have a job in a couple of months.

      Good company overall, but individual departments have different issues

      Pros

      Strong company with good heritage, many positions and able to move positions is a possibility.

      Cons

      Promotions are few and far between in the last two years given the companies condition. Unfortunately they're still slow to help their employees in their career. This is why so many people are leaving.
