If you're looking at a role in procurement run.....
Pros
CEO is great and genuinely cares about the future of the company and is investing heavily in resources for future technologies. Recent TRATON merger should positively change the current terrible culture at the company, and are the only reasons I'm giving the company 2 stars.
Cons
The procurement organization has always seemed to have it's struggles, but with the newest CPO things only seem to get worse. In his 2.5 years in this position he has executed 2 huge organization changes that have improved nothing and have only made this organization more of a disaster. Procurement is a revolving door because the culture is so toxic and employees are miserable. The team is given unattainable goals given the resources, spread extremely thin, and given little thanks when goals are met. Organization does not care about young talent and places them into strictly transactional roles with no value added activity or strategic work. When a role opens up someone from the outside will always get the job over an internal hire because there is absolutely 0 focus on developing talent. Leaders do not care about employees career goals and will do everything in their power to hold an employee hostage in their current role when a better opportunity in the company arises so procurement can protect their head count. Strategy is to squeeze everything possible out of suppliers rather than focusing on VAVE or building relationships. Company as a whole seems to be sexist as well. There are very few women in leadership positions and a man will get a promotion over a more deserving women 9/10.
