Pros

Great new campus in Lisle... wonderful features such as cafeteria, gym, nice surroundings.

Cons

Too much politics, most people are very dissatisfied with the lack of direction and apathy from other people that have been here longer. There is a huge push to change the culture but it hasn't come to fruition.

Pros

The company has a very talented set of engineers and designers. It's engineering processes are sound and well developed. Several designers have proven to be extremely gifted.

Cons

Technical Leadership at the highest level has been wanting. Example: The 6.0 liter engine was known to be very problematic and required further development, but was pushed into production prematurely. The most senior technical leaders (VPs) lack sound engineering knowledge and experience. Most are political appointees. While having had a great technical history, things went down hill dramatically since the release of the 6.0 liter diesel. Those responsible for this and subsequent technical failures have moved on in the company, to other positions of authority, rather than having been dismissed. Politics overshadows sound judgment.

Pros

Great facility, the training programs, especially in finance, are excellent, the fitness center is better than some health clubs, the cafeteria is the best I've seen anywhere.

Cons

Financially, the company just isn't doing well in 2012, and that impacts the morale. the work environment, and eventually will impact the staffing levels. In short, because of the transition the company is going through, you can expect few opportunities for advancement or even raises/bonuses in the near term. Long-term, this should get better, so it's going to depend on what your. horizon is.
