Horrible supervisor and work environment

Pros

Internews does provide the opportunity to work across the globe with various people.

Cons

Deserves no stars. Unfortunately, Internews has some terrible supervisors who are new to managing a team but have zero experience on how to be leaders. This person only knows how to tell the employees what to do but can't train or guide them properly. Internews pride itself on its core values “Bring Optimism and Excitement, we approach our work with enthusiasm and love what we do". I did not once experience enthusiasm; I only experienced a condescending tone, and aggression when spoken to by my superior. There was no point in informing HR. They only took the side of the senior staff. There is a lot of favoritism and gossiping that goes on between the supervisor and other team members. Overall, this place was a terrible place to work. There is no work-life balance. Just a horrible work environment by the way upper management treats new employees.

Pros

Very remote work culture! Nice colleagues!

Cons

Too many procedures! The workload is the craziest I’ve ever experienced.
