Good company, could be great if diversity was a focus

Pros

IB has an excellent value system, culture is wonderful if you are a middle aged white male. Lots of opportunities and low hanging fruit to be a standout performer. Flexibility to be with family and friends

Cons

I found myself at lunch today with a group of team members and the conversation of women at IB came up. Seriously just take a look at our executive team, zero women, VP's? Zero! Directors, 6 females, and 3 are in the same department. It is disappointing to see the lack of female leadership at IB, however, if you are a minority female, the path is so limited, darn near impossible. There are only 2 minority female managers in the home office. That is insane, we have had more in the past but each of them has been pushed out, or demoted to individual contributor roles. One of the highest ranking black women in the company was just moved over to a project role this week! Another one was moved to an IC role last year after transforming her department and helping us do HR better, some just leave, the list goes on and on. Hard to trust and relate to leadership when there is no one who looks like you.

Pros

Good people and benefits with chaplain.

Cons

The leadership of that time claims to be reasonable and understanding, yet when they get bad information, they react without remorse or consideration to others.

Pros

I don't see any pros of working here unless you are desperate and you need the money really bad and you are willing to be a slave for the company.

Cons

Worst employee i ever had. -No base pay -Long term back problems from having to lift up batteries all day -At the end of the day when you are back from your route you have to restock more than 8 trucks full of batteries (hundreds of batteries) -12 hour shifts - Receiving acid drops all day long when handling the batteries
