Pros

- employee new graduates so good for getting a foot on the ladder - flexible working hours

Cons

- pay is very low (pay rises are also few and very far between) - refuse to sign staff off probation after initial period giving no reason for extending leaving you with no job security/sick pay ect (large number of people worked up to a year waiting for probation to end!) - training takes an excessive amount of time, you are left doing the same analysis day in day out for months, or making yourself look busy when there nothing your trained in to do - extremely high staff turnover - and a less than enjoyable atmosphere within the lab

They will hire people with no experience so good for first job The people and the atmosphere Flexible working hours

Bit of a shambles

Pros

Pay is ok if you're at the right level Varied roles on offer Can actually be funny listening to the management rhetoric when the reality is so far from the image

Cons

Limited career progression - almost all management hires are external (usually from Inchcape) Clueless HR, none of the policies have been updated for 4 years and no one follows them anyway Mercenary Exec team, massively profligate with their own reward and benefits, yet slash valuable support services to save a few £ No investment in IT infrastructure, hopelessly out of date finance systems Addicted to spreadsheets Business is run by Operations, hence more about customer service than actually bringing in cash. Finance just seen as an obstacle.
