Pros

International company with openings around the world.

Cons

There is so much back stabbing, rumor and general undermining of employees by other employees it makes for an extremely stressful atmosphere. Company manager does little to nothing to stop this behavior from continuing and instead allows certain employees to remain without writing them up. When asked about why he doesn't stop this malicious behavior, his response was "Managing employees is a difficult thing to do." On my very first day on the job one of these toxic employees told an outright lie about me. When my department manager called her into her office to ask why she would say what she did, the employee had no answer except to say that's what she "heard." Stupid, ugly, and envious behavior of this type remains the rule of the day with no consequences. I enjoyed my work but the office atmosphere was poisonous.

Great place to start your career as a doormat!

Pros

20 PTO days for new hires, reasonable benefit rates. I have met some incredibly talented people and especially some friends who I will keep around for years to come. Some senior/executive level management are great too, but unfortunately does not count for much when they are not your own manager.

Cons

Intertek is incredibly top-heavy and does not appreciate entry/junior level creativity or ambition. Intertek is a great place to build your resume but definitely not to start a career. Unless you want to be a doormat.
