      Pros

      If you're willing to work really hard and put in the extra hours you can do well here. There are a lot of good people who work there.

      Cons

      There are too many managers who delegate all the work to those who are paid far less. If you are well-liked by certain upper management then you will get promoted whether you're competent or not. The work load is overwhelming for the "regular" employees and management doesn't know how to step in and "lead" a team to success.

      High Turnover Rate

      Pros

      There is never a shortage of work which makes days go by fast and provides a sense of job security.

      Cons

      More people are leaving the company than being hired, so the workload is very high. Upper management has not done anything to fix the high turnover rate.

      Pros

      When I began working for Intertek they were reasonably generous with the continuing ed, at least in support of my credentials. This was reduced to nearly nothing by the end of 2012.

      Cons

      Adherence to Quality Systems was viewed as of much lower importance than simply processing the work orders. We got caught several times on this both by clients and regulatory personnel.
