Intiva Health is by far the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of being employed by. Please see the reasons below for this opinion:
Leadership or lack thereof: The leadership at Intiva is by far the most distasteful component of this company. To understand the type of people considered leader(s), one should research their background. Even with the criminal aspect of their past, it is their treatment of employees that is the most disturbing factor when it comes to leadership. Belittling and threatening is common practice. They constantly refuse to share appropriate company finances and change the “exit” strategy every three months, when things don’t go according to their plans. When good employees leave the company, they ensure that they are properly informed of the CEO/Owner/President’s (or whatever title he decides to utilize at any given time), right to sue them if he is defamed or company NDA is broken. Micromanagement is the style utilized, with a perchance for paranoia towards workers “stealing” company time or usage of company property. It is very much, “Do as I say, not as I do” mentality when it comes to company policies, including quid pro quo for favors, to those who choose to support the stench of abuse towards hard-working employees.
Benefits: Employees do not have to pay for the healthcare benefits which are offered, however, they get stuck with plans that are very costly if used.
PTO: Don’t be fooled with the “generous” PTO policy. You technically have 23 days of PTO + holidays. If you are ever 1 minute late arriving in the morning or coming back from lunch you will be docked 15 minutes of your PTO time. The same rule applies if you must take a personal phone call during work hours. This rule is often overlooked/ignored by members of the leadership team who do not have to suffer the same consequences.
Lack of Diversity: Another con for this company is the lack of diversity in the office. The office currently holds less than 30 employees, for which, the majority are white males in their mid 30’s. The few women that work for this company are often exposed to misogynistic and degrading comments from members of the leadership team, and this is true all the way to the top of the leadership chain.
HR: Currently, there is no HR department/designated HR professional to assist employees with issues concerning benefits, PTO questions, and potential issues with other coworkers. If you have an issue with anything, you must report it to the COO, who tends to also contribute to the toxic environment of this place.
Salary: The company disperses live checks on payday at the end of the day by the President. While direct deposit has been requested and suggested many times, to improve the company, it was never considered a serious request from employees. In addition to this, most salaries offered, by the company, are considered to be below the Austin market rate and very non-competitive.
Culture: The culture of this company is extremely toxic. There are basically two groups within the company. Those that blindly follow the president and those that are wise enough to see through the lies. Turnover is very high for such a small company and interviewees are constantly turned off from joining the company after the first interview and interaction with the leadership team. Several of the more honest leaders who were earlier employed, became too disgusted with the putrid culture and have left for more legitimate careers. In addition to this vile environment, professional growth in this company is practically nonexistent and there are no metrics for employees to measure their performances. Their “success” in the company is solely based on the perception of how busy they appear, and their willingness to rally behind the leaders when they identify their next victim.
Product: 3-4 generations behind their competitors. Very slow document upload times. Glitchy.
This is as many cons as one is allowed to write in a review. The cons for this company far surpass the pros, which are just the good honest coworkers (non-leadership) that are there to accompany you through the misery. Before you decide to join this company, please be sure to run a thorough research on their leadership's background, previous companies they were affiliated with, and changes within the leadership team in the past 2 years.
