Pros

Cultural exchange is a unique and exciting industry. Our student programs provide opportunities for personal growth and transform lives. Employees care about the mission. The employee population is young and energetic; it's often a great first or second career move. And it can be a terrific late career move for those who are willing to take a small slide down the salary scale. There are quite a few programs for outgoing and incoming exchange students; high school and college age. Students' positive experiences provide great work satisfaction. New programs keep entering the mix and creating new challenges. People here care about their customers and about each other. The founders are still engaged after 30 years and offer a wealth of industry knowledge and personal wisdom.

Cons

The company is silo'ed so it can be difficult to to find promotional opportunities across the company. Too many tasks are duplicated. This is not a sophisticated large corporation but the effort continues to implement successful business processes.

Pros

Great organization with interesting programs. There are a few interesting projects that come up if you work for them. Great office, great location, and free tea.

Cons

It seems like they just hire unpaid interns to do a lot of the work. They hire one now and then, but it's by no means guaranteed or based soley on performance. Like most companies, they have extra work they just don't want to pay for it to get done. I have a feeling success is highly influenced by social acceptance. Treatment of people on my same level was entirely unequal and unfair.
