Some teams tend to fill needs based on prior relationship or general knowledge rather than specific experiences needed to do a very specific job.

It used to be a company focused on values and having top talent, now it's about delivering fast even if its buggy and throwing people under the bus so the layoff is not on you. Leadership takes little to no accountability when things go sideways even if it was their decision to go in a certain direction. Now it's finding someone to blame for the problems. There is no work-life balance either, expect to be called on weekends, holidays or middle of the night.
