Pros

Good work-life balance while still experiencing a fast past, results oriented culture. The overall quality of your peers is strong (you won't work with turkey's) and the customer demand is very high (your products will ship and be widely used). Cross business unit and geographical site standards are consistent making for trust across the wider organization.

Cons

Larger company means that there are always competing initiatives and too many stakeholders to involve in every decision and change. The Tax organization has a rather large ego and tends to throw their weight around such that it disrupts more general technical progress.

Pros

Competent Employees. Everyone here is professional and very goal oriented. The facilities are top notch. The people seem to be the best in their respective fields. The attitude is 'can do.' Most all of my interactions with coworkers and even strangers has been positive. The environment is somewhere between IBM and Google. Very relaxed yet extremely professional

Cons

The only difficulty I have experienced here at Intuit was: coming from a startup it was difficult to wrap my head around working for a large company. It was overwhelming at first to come to work at a 'campus.' Once I made the adjustment the 'corporate life' did not bother me at all.

Pros

Diversity for real, Strong Leadership and HR function, Nice, talented people - some of brightest I have worked with in my career.

Cons

Its still pretty small. There is really no place to go except for Mnt View/Tucson/Plano TX. Occassionally, they hire a few GE Bruisers - those that do not have good soft skills and do anything to get ahead. This sometimes causes inital damange but HR is excellent at damage control so they round up those personality types and move them to roles where they cannot hurt anyone but themselves (eg. they remove their direct reports, move them out of the buildings so that they work out of their homes, give them coaching to see if they can change their primal behaviors, reccomend they get help from trained psychologists if they think it will help, etc).
