Some great product teams...lots of politics

Pros

A chance to work on products that have actual impact on real people's lives Some really clever engineers to work with. Very good benefits

Cons

A company driven by business and marketing. Leads to near term thinking (next few quarters) and limited understanding of what it takes to really build excellent products. This has worked out well for many years, but deferred maintenance (on both current products and investing in future vision) may finally be catching up to the business. Poor product and technical vision, but endless (and increasing) politics and wearying "rah-rah" marketing-speak. Salaries are just okay and very poor stock incentive. Much work moving off shore...expect that to continue.

Pros

The Canadian branch of Intuit is improving and start to benchmark with how companies in Silicon valley run.

Cons

However, it is still lacking behind of new startups and top tier companies in Sillcon Valley. Somehow, the company is more like old school type.
