Pros

- On the engineering side, an excellent culture. Everyone from entry level engineers to principle engineers and directors are kind and generous with their time. It's very common to see people helping each other out (sometimes across completely different departments) on the regular. - Meaningful work and real positive impact on patient's lives. - Fascinating technical problems to solve everywhere you look

Cons

Like any company, which team you are on matters. I'm having an excellent experience in a great team, I know of others (and have been previously) on teams that weren't always the best fit, and that is what makes all the difference. My advice to navigate this, get to know your manager as well as you can in the interview process.

Pros

Aside from the obvious benefits of working at a company that truly cares about patients and having a positive impact on the world, Intuitive has been a great place to work because of the people and culture. It's clear that the company is aware of it's own rapid growth and is trying to make sure it's employees remain taken care of, while also retaining the "start up but supported" culture of innovation.

Cons

Sometimes there are long periods of stress that can be a bit exhausting, but it's never a surprise. Deadlines tend to get pulled in often, which means shifting rapidly to support reprioritized goals.
