Lacking Leadership

Pros

Great people. Free snacks. Embraces change.

Cons

Leadership, on all levels, lacks direction, conviction and inspiration. There's zero support for upward mobility. Pay is below industry standards and benefits are bare-bones minimum. Firm says one thing but does another. Invesco used to have a wonderfully unique and southern culture but after purchasing Oppenheimer (and hiring SEVERAL ppl from BlackRock) the culture has imploded. Everyone is miserable and "quiet layoffs" (since January) has driven morale to rock bottom levels. It's sad to see a seemingly slow death of a once-great firm.

Pros

- Your efforts are always appreciated by the senior managers - Easy to progress if you put in the work

Cons

- Can't really mention anything, maybe except for slow adoption of WFH policies
