Pros

Good work/life balance. Good people, collegial environment. Good benefits. Firm emphasizes high ethical standards and tough legal compliance rules.

Cons

Salaries well below industry average. Best talent jumps at first opportunity. Name not really a resume builder. Company was built by acquisitions so still very different cultures between offices.

Pros

Well respected name in the asset management industr. Invesco provides an intelligent work environment with knowledgable coworkers. I felt that coworkers were collaborative in projects.

Cons

Internal jockying for limited promotions was frustrating. On the whole there was no clear path to promotion or advancement. Pay was significantly less than other asset managers.

Pros

Salary was above market rate, and our small group was excellent. Many friendships made.

Cons

Company worked its employees to the bone, with little to no recognition. After the AIM/Invesco merger, the Invesco IT management was incredibly poor. No respect to their employees, which in turn caused everyone to work with blinders on.
