IonQ reviews

I have been working in the technology industry for years, and never before have I worked for a company as ambitious, motivating, and potentially game-changing as IonQ. IonQ is singularly focused on building the best quantum computers in the world. We're extremely well funded (we went public in 2021) and have been delivering on our milestones year after year. One of the most motivating aspects about IonQ is the increasingly tangible potential for our quantum computers to change the way the world computes. There are all these problems I once took for granted--things like predicting the impacts of climate change or creating better simulations for cancer drugs--that quantum has the ability to solve once we are able to scale up our computers. IonQ has the head start on QC technology, and we're already making real, measurable progress towards computers that could solve these problems. Having incredible technology and potential impact is awesome, but what I love most about IonQ is who I get to work with every day. We're still a small, rapidly growing team, and I feel like the work my teammates and I do makes a difference to the company every day. Being a tight-nit team means we get to know people across the company on a personal level, and get to learn about each others' roles in building IonQ. This is also just a team of wicked smart people who genuinely care about the work they're doing and each other. Sure, we have good days and bad days like any other company, but even on the worst days, I can rely on my colleagues to help me laugh things off in meetings. There are lots of places to work in tech, and even now quite a few companies in quantum, but at least for me, there's no place that rivals IonQ.
