Pros
I am in HR and have been with Iron Bow for more than 15 years. Three things are very important to those of us in HR, we want the support to act with fairness and kindness, and we need to be confident in the ethics of the organization we represent. This company has demonstrated these qualities consistently through my time here. In fact, the Iron Bow mantra is posted on our walls and it’s how we begin our meetings, with a simple reminder to demonstrate respect to one another. It's a simple, clear expectation of each member of the team. Our CEO and Executive leadership team lead by this example every day.
But when you're in the people department, it's important to balance business and personal. For 15 years, I've seen this company generously support team members who are experiencing the worst kinds of personal crisis by providing meals, expenses, time off, reassurance, support, whatever we could do on a personal level, not just professional.
I am grateful for this dedication to our employee family. Even in the most challenging instances, when we are charged with addressing serious employee relations issues or terminations, I am fully supported to demonstrate dignity, respect and generosity. I know this is a very special company and I am very proud to work here.
Cons
We work hard. This is not a place for slackers.
