Pros

- good salary and benefits - very smart engineers and hard workers - some good managers and executives - some genuinely great people

Cons

At the time I was at the company, these were the cons: - frequent layoffs and turnover - many bad engineering executives and managers. Some seemed to just sit in meetings all day and do nothing to justify their salaries. Many had no healthcare experience and lacked domain knowledge, in addition to ideas or vision. If you are an executive in engineering in a startup company you need to be able to wear different hats and think of things from a product perspective. - Lots of engineering talent wasted essentially doing different permutations of the same project over years - not enough projects to work on to make use of engineering talent - managers ignored requests from workers to contribute to other parts of engineering department

Pros

Benefits package is great! The team I was apart of was, for the most part, supportive and trusting. Most of the time I felt like a necessary and equal part of the team. The work itself is what I was most passionate about. We worked on amazing technology which could help save lives.

Cons

Unfortunately, while things started off great in my career at IH, there were a few things which shifted my feeling towards the company. Firstly, there were many layoffs or situations where you felt you may be getting the boot soon. It was a very uneasy feeling. Second, the company shifted directions, A LOT. Every quarter, every year, there were new goals made and we would not reach them, only to see them again in the next goals. It was another thing which made me uneasy for my future at IH. Lastly, the technical structure has improved, but unfortunately there was often a bit too much micromanagement happening (lower lever and higher level). Towards the end of my career there, I felt less trusted and less motivated to do my job.
