Great Place for exposure, great people, decent benefits, decent pay

Pros

Great place to gain experience and learn the tech world in whatever area you are working. Great people keep this company operating and keep the culture alive. Benefits are pretty decent.

Cons

Chaotic environment at times can lead to a bad work life balance. But also, people wear too much work as badge of honor (I guess this is relatively normal). Pay is also under market value (at least for what I’ve seen)

While Agile process by virtue of design exposes lack of engineering process as a result of program failure, team was penalized fir exe ution failure but never improved performance d processes to improve planning to deliver on capacity and scope,

Pros

- Well structured processes and highly integrated teams. - Fosters very good management and thus great teams. - Provides good tooling to do the job. - Welcoming and encourages buy in to corporate culture in a genuine fashion - Employees feel listened to and encouraged to speak up - Flexible work (remote) - Reasonable hours, no mandatory or unpaid overtime like in some other companies

Cons

- Development team (for the specific product I support) is a little too siloed from the support org, and communication from them could be better (this will vary though between different product teams) - Customers sometimes expect too much (victim of our own success)
