Pros

Fantastic group of people in each of our EMEA regions, and an executive team in the US that values our business and people. Great history and product sets help cement our position in the market as a market leader.

Cons

There had been a lack of focus as the company was integrated into a hardware company, and efforts to integrate product sets pulled time away from working on our core solutions.

Pros

Great product, Great people, excluding most of mgmt.

Cons

The new managment that came in after Bill Smith left has ruined the company. I don't blame Avocent as the problems started way before them. The good 'ol boy network is killing this company. I agree with the other poster, that people are not being hired for their talent, but because they are the same religion or are buddies from Novell or Altiris. It is truly as shame what has happened to LANDesk.

Pros

They show leniency in timings for work from office. They are flexible for work from home in case of emergencies

Cons

NSG group in IVANTI They treat engineering work like a labor work asking hourly goals and updates. They expect engineers to type something hourly and show some results rather than think and solve issues. Days are filled with compulsory meetings starting from 8.30am to 10:00 pm and wonder about productivity . Daily 4-5 random out of context meetings are scheduled and at end of day asking engineers to show results. Asking engineers to measure every activity hourly basis, daily basis and monthly basis and defend it. During release time , Managers search a scape goat engineer and 4-5 managers call the scape goat engineer hourly basis ask updates and make individual feel guilty and forc them to work day and night including week ends. Toxic engineering work culture; lack of personnel time, toxic for mental and physical health.
