Pros

Working here has been a genuinely rewarding experience! The flexibility is fantastic for work/life balance—if you need to step out for an appointment or pick up your kid, it’s highly encouraged, and you can easily make up the time later. Hard work doesn’t go unnoticed; it’s definitely recognized and rewarded. Another thing that stands out is management’s commitment to listening to employees. They truly care about what you think and address concerns with patience and transparency, which makes you feel valued as part of the team. The company also puts a lot of effort into making remote work engaging, with fun virtual activities and active employee resource groups.

Cons

The only thing I’d change is the travel policy. My position was advertised as “0 travel,” which is great, but I think the occasional in-person team building would be a nice addition! It’s something I’d actually look forward to.

Pros

Personal Recognition: Winning a poetry contest comes with public acknowledgment, both internally and sometimes externally, boosting confidence and morale. Creative Outlet: Employees have opportunities to express themselves beyond job-related tasks, nurturing creativity and personal growth. Inclusive Culture: Ivanti celebrates diverse talents and encourages participation from staff across departments, reinforcing a sense of community. Leadership Engagement: Company leaders not only support but actively participate in these initiatives, demonstrating a genuine commitment to employee engagement. Skill Development: Participants often report gaining communication skills, deeper product or mission understanding, and comfort stepping out of their comfort zones. Team Building: Such contests foster cross-team collaboration and allow employees to interact in a setting that’s fun and less formal than normal business operations. Positive Work Environment: Regular celebration of creative achievements contributes to a lively, encouraging atmosphere.

Cons

Potential for Pressure: Some employees may feel anxious or self-conscious about participating if creativity is not their strength, which could detract from enjoyment. Recognition Imbalance: While winners are celebrated, those who do not win might feel overlooked, especially if there’s a strong emphasis on recognition. Distraction from Core Work: Creative contests, if too frequent or emphasized, might distract from primary job responsibilities and goals. Subjectivity: Judging in creative contests can be inherently subjective, and perceptions of fairness could impact morale if not managed transparently. Optional Engagement: Not everyone feels comfortable with public creative expression; some might opt out, missing the associated benefits, which could create cliques among participants and non-participants.
