Pros

Ivy Tech allowed me to both advise students and teach as an adjunct. I never worked at a main campus, always at satellites, which gave me some great flexibility and really helped me get to know my students. Benefits were also excellent, with a good amount of paid time off.

Cons

Promotional opportunities were VERY limited unless you were already at a high level in the administration. I knew many advisors who worked until they got enough experience and then transfered to a university. Turnover was high at the main campus but very low at the satellites.
