Coming from a firm that I had been with for nearly 15 years that rewarded great work with more work than one could handle and still have a work life balance, I was looking for a fresh start. I wasn't sure what to expect when I came on board but was blown away by the seamless transition and feeling like I was a part of the team from day 1. Gone were the days of feeling constantly overwhelmed and being weeks behind on my to do list. Everyone at J.S. Held is always ready to pitch in when the need arises to help each other out and help carry the load.

Hybrid work, decent benefits, and a steady supply of ultra-processed office snacks.

Cons

The company has done nothing but buy businesses that make no sense to their core business model, and then 15 months later, conduct a huge round of layoffs. No clear goals, no support, and zero accountability from leadership. Morale is low, communication is poor, and employees are left in the dark about strategy or direction.
