I love my career here. I love what I do and the people I work with. I enjoy being able to express my concerns and recommendations and being heard. Jon is a great leader. You'll work hard, learn, and become a valued part of the team here. A+.

Cons

The previous comments about the investment firm is true. It's the only thing I wish I could change about the company.

Pros

Base compensation is good. Quarterly bonuses based upon the 478+ are decent. Work is engaging and challenging. Colleagues are collaborative and helpful. Management is active and helpful. Culture has been great, but is now changing.

Cons

A lot of what made J.S. Held a great place to work is going away. Capital investment firms are having a strong influence over operations and dismantling the superior culture and positive aspects of working at J.S. Held. Actual, measurable annual bonuses, which were part of the compensation package previously, have been arbitrarily removed in place of “discretionary” bonuses. The new “discretionary” annual bonus is a joke, and the “discretionary” considerations are not based upon objective, measurable performance standards.
