Pros

Good at marketing. JCB Academy. Golf course. Quarry days. Shop floor seem to really enjoy their work.

Cons

Old school ruthless management. A suitable employer if you like/need strick working routines, as everything is fixed, holidays, working hours. Also expect a formal disciplinary if you're late a couple of times. Clocking in and out, there is zero trust in staff, meaning no flexible working arrangements, which isn't great if you have a young family or looking after a vulnerable family member. Lack of process results in loss of ownership =blame culture. Most companies offer better working conditions, job security and benefits. Salary is the going market rate, but roles are inundated with menial tasks due to antiquated systems. Moreover antiquated systems are propping up the business, which you will have to learn and pretty much use for most of the working day. Where these systems fail, excel takes over. Getting off the HQ car park is a nightmare, can take up to 30 mins in summer. So add this time to your commute home when considering a position at HQ.
