Pros

Opportunity to work with some cutting edge ideas

Cons

Management is terrible; most co-workers are extremely back-stabbing; physical work conditions are antiquated; never get to use your time off, but you loose it if you dont use it. Terrible place! I would recommend working with or for JDPA.

Pros

Early in your career: learning, opportunities to advance. Late in your career: opportunities to lead, learn a particular research services approach and business model

Cons

Not for no reason, management is very proud of the company's image and works overly hard to make employees feel the same. But, this overreaching is evidenced as a great deal of "rah, rah" about how wonderful and valued the employees are, and what potential the company has, which is not supported by "walking the walk." This makes the constant cheerleading and attempts at motivation come across as insincere! In other words, mgt. try too hard to "talk the talk," but don't deliver the underlying/expected content in compensation and other "hygiene" factors (see Blake and Mouton).

Pros

1. Entrepreneurial atmosphere - you are your own boss 2. Depending on the group you can have a flexible schedule of working 3. Small-company culture; you don't feel like a gear in a large machine 4. Very good benefits 5. Recognition for good work

Cons

1. Due to the entrepreneurial atmosphere people work in silos which are hard to break into; co-operation with other groups is very hard. 2. Too laid-back culture of working. Lack of processes takes a major impact on productivity 3. Not a good process for promotions
