Pros

Completely WFH. Offices available in some cities though if you want. Great team members. Flexible work schedules.

Cons

CO's run town halls that praise themselves for profits, but employees won't get bonuses unless they're upper management or executive teams.

We are pleased to hear that you appreciate our remote-first and flexible work environment. Thank you for sharing your positive team experience. Townhalls are intended to be a space for communication, transparency, and updates of our collective achievements. Currently, we have a formal bonus plan for upper management and executives. We also have a discretionary award program that provides managers with a tool to deliver one-time cash bonuses throughout the year for performance and results beyond their normal job duties. It is widely used as a tool to reward exceptional performance. Thank you for your dedication and contributions over the years. Thank you, J.D. Power

Pros

-great work-life balance, fully remote -interesting work -job security -great initiatives like DEIB, Women @ Power, connections committee -exciting growth in the organization (wish this translated to more/better career opportunities)

Cons

-health benefits coverage is terrible, high employee co-pay -low RRSP matching -reduction of accrued vacation (masked with addition of ETO) -6 weeks of mat leave top-up is very low in comparison to other CDN companies offering 4-6 months -long-term employees underpaid and only eligible for small merit increases (compared to new employees who are able to negotiate higher salaries)
