Pros

For the most part people are nice, good work life/balance.

Cons

Lack of software licenses. No budget for tools/hardware. Huge turnover of staff especially at the mid/senior level, with the most talented lasting the shortest. HR management is a disaster. The treatment of excellent contractors in HR by internal HR management is despicable!!!

Lack of competent leaders

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

-interesting new technologies -colleagues are great -salary decent -pension and healthcare package good -holidays easy to book and plan -nice building and facilities -easy commute

Cons

-severe lack of technical knowledge and direction in key managerial positions -poor collaborative attitude to the work, some are more focused on how they are perceived by the business as opposed to actually doing the work well -back biting and bitchyness rear their ugly heads at times -no career progression -no understanding of competence so they've allowed very good staff to walk away with no fight to keep them -shoe horning much needed technical exploration for new products and services into following processes that only impedes progress.
