Pros

Some talented attorneys and staff who genuinely care about their work. Opportunities to gain experience quickly due to high turnover.

Cons

-Horrible management; the managing partner is stuck in the past; -Extremely low morale across the office. -Very high turnover—people don’t stay long - 10 associates, 1 paralegal and 1 assistant in 25 months! -Rigid “face-time” requirement: attorneys must be at their desks from 8 AM to 6 PM, no matter what. -Collaboration and social interaction are discouraged—management flat out says, “you are here to work, not socialize.” -They exploit their wheelhouse of labor and employment lawyers to tilt situations in their favor. -No real focus on employee well-being or retention. -They tell you what you want to hear on your interview just to get a warm body to fill a seat.

Horrible place to work!

Pros

No pros, stay far away from this company

Cons

The attorneys are rude to their employees and their clients, and they tend to not know how to use their own document management system. The other assistants do not want to help, or they just don't care to. There is no 401K match at all and even though there is profit sharing, you are not eligible for it till you are there for over a year and it is not comparable to a 401k match. The health insurance is Cigna, however it is the bottom of the barrel plan, that does not cover even the basic medical needs. And they offer an HSA medical coverage option which at most companies pay into yearly, but Jackson Lewis only gives you a one-time pay out when you first start. This place is toxic and is ironic considering they are an Employment & Labor Law Firm.

Pros

Nice building, you have your own office (with no window) even though you are observed all the time and they offer parking garage.

Cons

The workload is insane. They micromanage you. They deny your request for time off. Office management exists to make your life harder. HR exists to protect the company, NOT YOU. They require you to bill insane billable hours and give you a hard time when you working from home. One particular attorney seems to enjoy making your life as miserable as he can.
