Pros

Javara has lucked into some great mid level staff that cares about research integrity and works harder than anyone I've worked with before.

Cons

-Terrible hiring process that has allowed many unqualified people to slip in, then get fired when they can't perform basic job requirements like completing onboarding training. -Continuous overloading and piling studies onto certain staff while others are sitting around with little responsibility (I'm the one sitting around) -Complete abandonment of mission statement: Clinical Research As A Care Option sounds great if you are actually proving care and treatment for people who wouldn't otherwise have it. Javara seeks out the most profitable trials and provides trials to people who don't need it.

Pros

The IT department cannot be better.

Cons

Do you like to have metrics and goals to meet without proper training? Do you like to be surrounded by unqualified coworkers (no science background or experience) that are personal friends with the higher administration? Do you like to have more studies to lead as an entry level employee than a senior level navigator? Do you like to remain in your hired position with no promotion, unless you fight for it for weeks on end? Do you like to consistently ask for assistance and training on specific tasks, to then be asked why you are not meeting goals? Do you like to be promised supplies and materials but are met with reasons as to why there are none or why it's been delayed (office space, needles, gloves, biohazard boxes, etc.)? Do you like to have site level management choose "favorite" employees, and show this by rewarding mediocrity? Do you like to have site level management gloat about being personally invested in the company, therefore they are 'never going anywhere so deal with it'? Do you want to forgo maternity/paternity leave by substituting it for short term disability? Do you like to collaborate with another company, Greater Gift, only to find out the board members are the same as the companies higher admin.? Our site went from over 20 employees to roughly 4 in a matter of 3 or 4 months. The company is just now seeing a need to add additional employees... with 4 employees and roughly 20 studies (some in startup and maintenance). The goal of the company is one with resonance - clinical research as a care option. However, to the higher admin. that translates to 'which studies can make the most money' - and you are expected to make that goal no matter what is thrown your way.

Not as good as it looks

Pros

The mission of the company and mid-level staff.

Cons

The executives hire their college aged children's friends who have no real job role or qualifications. I was promised certain job responsibilities and advancement opportunities during the interview process and my yearly review. After a couple of years, hard work, and no promotion or pay increase, I am doing more and more work outside of my role. There is constant posturing and a need for executives to feel praised by staff, outside attention and potential investors. The 'mission' seems more like the higher ups trying make as much money as possible. Three of my peers have left the company in the past six months and gone on to better opportunities. Turn over is high.
