Pros

Stability and job security compared to smaller firms. Work on a variety of projects and in many industries.

Cons

Company has no direction. Too many mergers too fast have resulted in a disorganized mess.

Pros

The company has nice people from the CEO down. that are smart, hard-working and devoted to their professions but, the company is unfortunately controlled by equity ownership.

Cons

Equity ownership cut 401 K contributions to $0 for 2017 and 2020, and salaries were cut 20% in 2020, even though the company was profitable. Low bonuses and minor 2% raises didn't make up for lost compensation and it isn't sustainable for a demanding career working long hours serving clients. Ownership short-term plans to sell the company reflects how employees are treated.

Thank you for sharing your perspective, we appreciate your candor. Yes, we are sponsored by a private equity firm, and similar to other private and public firms, we want to continue to grow and with that, want our people to grow with us. In 2020, much like other organizations, we did have to make tough decisions in order to weather the uncertainty of the pandemic, which included a temporary reduction in salaries. However, we were pleased that employee salaries were restored to 100% within 60 days while Sr. Management decided to continue with the reduction for much of the year. In 2021 and 2022, we have made compensation and benefits a top priority and are pleased at the salary increases and bonuses that have been paid to the global employee base. We will continue to focus on our People and make continual improvements to create a positive employee experience. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

There are a lot of good shared resources and you can gain some valuable experience working your way up. There are some good people within JH (but they're lonely)

Cons

JH is part of an acquisition machine. There's huge turnover in management that affects the direction and budgets of field offices. Successful teams got torn apart and compensation packages got cut amid staff reductions and policy and culture shifts. Corporate counsel attempts selective enforcement of NCAs where they exist.
