Pros
At the time of my hiring, I had no prior major IT or business experience, but JetBrains gave me a chance to prove myself, the patience and sincerity of my superiors, namely George Dvorak, Brian Noll and Natalie Jaremyc inspired me to achieve great results and really impacted my career at JetBrains.
I learned many great skills, from being more confident when approaching customers in real life during conferences, how a corporate company (with a startup vibe) work, to improving my English.
Also, I was able to find quite a few really good friends at JetBrains which is a life-time benefit to me. Not only that the company offers great benefits and perks and the HR team is always striving to do more for the employees, the company also invests in their employees by providing great training and self-develop activities.
Some of the almost unbelievably good perks/benefits/incentives include:
- fully stocked kitchen
- live cooking every second week
- awesome new year celebration trips
- gym at the office
- video games
- massages
- fun team buildings
- possibility to work remotely when needed
Even though there were some bumps on the road, I never felt helpless and things always worked out fine.
To sum it all up, I am truly grateful for JetBrains, because all the skills I learned, I am now applying in my new career path and JetBrains will stay in my heart forever.
