      Don't Believe in the Smoke and Mirrors!

      Pros

      There's is not one good thing about this company. If zero stars was an option that's what I would have chosen. Do not work here, RUN!!! The turnover rate is very high. Don't believe in the smoke and mirrors.

      Cons

      This is a horrible company to work for. They do not respect their employees at all. They want you to do more work for less pay and believe me when I say it is not worth it. They make recruiters and account managers pay FUTA and SUTA taxes from their commission checks every month when the employer should be paying it. I'm pretty sure this is illegal because it is not being reported to the IRS. Every recruiter and account manager has proof of this illegal activity.

      A reference check company has been unable to get any response back from Cortec except to tell me to request in my own writing the authorization to provide the reference. I went to the local office to do do and i was told by a RUDE employee that they have no idea and its not their fault. I never said anything to indicate it was. I told him i was in a hurry so skip the blame lecture and just let me know if he could fax it to corporate. He said it would take a week or more. Great so as i am waiting for this the company running the background check doesnt know its being held up by incompetent and rude people. Sure glad im not with Cortec anymore. I tried calling corp headquarters and you cannot get to a person. What a joke.

      RUDE PEOPLE who dont care. When I walked into the office the employee was talking on the phone with a client about one of their employees and the fact that he had done something wrong actually saying his full name and what he did. If I were a prospective customer I wouldn't do business with a company that talks on speaker phone in front of strangers about their clients and employees. Thought it was very rude. Employee he was talking about would not be hired by me because of what I overheard. Unbelievably unprofessional.
