Pros

Joby is an amazing culture to be a part of. This is easily the best place I've worked at and I have been to a few of the EVTOL competitors in the Bay Area. The work is challenging and you will have your work cut out for you and potentially work long hours. The good thing is if you are a passionate individual with high integrity and perserverence you will thrive here. Joeben is truly a one of a kind CEO. No comparison to the previous ones I've worked for. I have personally witnessed him grinding away with us on hardware to find issues first hand and suggest design changes that solved problems within a day of the issue arising. Inspiring to say the least.

Cons

I will be honest, being a newer aerospace company working on a new product can prove to be painful in the long hours and maybe even organization of the project. That being said I do find that I am able to push through the long hours because I genuinely care about the project and the team.

Pros

It's a company with smart leadership, and every employee is skilled and competent. Every engineer is strong or better. Culture is highly collaborative, but people are encouraged to speak up and openly debate decisions regardless of seniority. Very high transparency between management and employees of all levels.

Cons

Flat organizational structure and high collaboration means projects can end up with a large number of equally senior stakeholders who don't agree on a way forward. Stock doesn't grow at the same rate as other Bay area companies.
