Pros

Where to begin! I feel so lucky to have worked for such a wonderful company with an incredible group of girls. Staff was small and I truly felt like I was among family everyday here. No cattiness at all. No conflicts. We all were supportive of each other and were happy when goals were met. It's typical commission may cause conflict between colleagues in some companies, but I can confidently say this never happened here once. Really, really good whole- hearted people with the best intentions. Company provides monthly incentives every month. I had so much fun working here. employee discount is THE BEST and new stuff every month. The company offers incentives every month, commission and other tools you can use to make more money and engage with JW clients. Expectations include engaging, presenting and following up with your customer. Management completely encourages individuality and supports whatever selling approach your comfortable with that will maximize business most efficiently. You'll be coached when a behavior (good or bad) is observed by the SM or ASM in ways that build you up with support and not like your being talked down to or scolded. Every time I worked with our store's SM she always had a little one-on-one with me to thank me for doing such a good job or how happy she was with me being part of the team. Always smiling and personable. In my past experiences, working retail, it is extremely rare that a company's management team like JW's, will take time everyday to acknowledge and show appreciation for their employee's efforts individually. It's something I would like to utilize in the future when I run a store one day. Sometimes I'd even get a text or a call before work from her just to thank me for making room in our stock room. Feeling appreciated and trusted with more and more responsibilities made me more confident in myself. The SM consistently reminded me what an asset I was to our store and it feels really great walking into work feeling appreciated. I worked mostly with the ASM and trust me she is nothing short of a real life Superwoman. Her work ethic, mentality and willingness to go above and beyond expectations created a comfortable and creative atmosphere for everyone. She does SO much for her staff and clients. 4-5 times a day her clients come in or call in asking for her specifically. They work around her schedule to time to shop with her and chat. She's the queen of clienteling without a doubt and was such a good example and taught me so much about how to clientele - also time management, engaging, product knowledge, the fashion industry/trends and the JW brand as a whole. I felt like I learned more from her than any college class could have taught me in the time I was there. Truly someone that I look up to and learned more from than any company I've worked for and any college class I sat through. She wanted me to make my goal as much as I did and I felt supported when I needed help and positive feedback when I had good sales or a good week.

Cons

I have nothing bad to say about working here.

Awesome for Retail

Pros

Super Laid Back atmosphere, nice perks, great co-workers, management and training. Felt like the company cares about its employees. Beautiful stores, not the kind of retail where you have to pressure people to buy the products, they mainly trained us to let people be and offer help when actually needed. Some vacation time allowed, but not a lot.

Cons

Like any retail job, the schedule changes a lot, you seldom have consistent days off (which is both a pro and a con). Sales associates are paid hourly and have commission. I'm not super into sales, and therefore didn't try to hard to sell a lot, merely because it made me uncomfortable, but for those who are into it and like it - it's awesome! Very few cons actually.
